Vincent Fantauzzo exhibits paintings in HCM City

Twenty-six paintings by Australian artist Vincent Fantauzzo are currently on display in Ho Chi Minh City .



The 12-day exhibition, which will last until Sept. 5, features 26 portraits, including two copies of portraits of the late Australian actor Heath Ledger and Australian actor Brandon Walters as their original paintings are being exhibited at the New South Wales Museum in Australia .

V. Fantauzzo, who came to Vietnam a few months ago, said he was attracted by Vietnam ’s busy life and its cultural diversity so he decided to choose Vietnam as the first destination for his exhibition tour around Asia this year.

V. Fantauzzo added that he plans to draw portraits of a number of Vietnamese figures after the exhibition in the country

His paintings will later be exhibited in Bangkok , Singapore , Mumbai and Shanghai .

V. Fantauzzo was born in England in 1977 and lives in Australia . He studied for his Bachelor and Masters of Fine Art at RMIT in 2003 and 2005. He won the People’s Choice Award granted by the Archibald Prize for “three separate images” portrait of actor Heath Ledger in 2008 and for the portrait of actor Brandon Waters in 2009./.
